Kathy Brokering
Kathy has been involved in the eye care business in some capacity since she married Dr. Larry Brokering in 1972.  Kathy earned a BS in Pharmacy from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and worked as a Registered Pharmacist until 1985, when her husband sweet-talked her into joining his office staff.  Kathy has experience in practically every area of the office, but her true love is in medical coding and billing.  Kathy enjoys learning the ins-and-outs of each individual insurance plan, and often is able to find insurance benefits for patients that they are not even aware of.
Kathy takes pride in remembering patients' names and helping them with their insurance questions.  No question is too silly or insignificant; if she doesn't know the answer, she will find it.
Kathy and Dr. Brokering have 2 grown children, Kristi and Michael, and 5 grandchildren.

Elaine Bugger
Elaine has been working in eye care since 2000, and has been with our office since 2002.  Elaine is very capable in nearly every area of our office, and although her primary responsibilities are in reception, scheduling appointments, and pre-authorizing insurance benefits, she can also be found assisting the Doctors in the clinic or helping patients with eyewear or contact lenses.  In all of these duties, great customer service is Elaine's top priority.
Elaine and her husband, Chris, recently physically built the home of their dreams.  They enjoy traveling and stay busy with 5 daughters, 6 granddaughters, and 2 grandsons.
